The Huntington Housing Authority began in the late 1960's with a Cooperative Agreement between the City of Huntington and the United Stated Department of Housing and Urban Development. This agreement built 30 units of Public Housing. In the early 1980's 30 units of housing, a community center, and a park were added to the facility. Huntington Housing Authority consists of 34 elderly, disabled and handicapped apartments, and 26 family apartments. Our Community Room is the local "Meals On Wheels" site and is also home to the Huntington Senior Citizen Center. Various civic and children's organizations uses the center as well. Huntington Housing Authority provides safe and sanitary housing to families and individuals of low income.
Applicants for housing are taken Monday, Thru, Friday, 8:00am-12:30pm and are available to be downloaded from this website
